has glosseng: The Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority (MWDA) is a waste disposal authority that manages the municipal solid waste produced in Merseyside, England. The MWDAs budget comes from Council Tax payments in the region. The Authoritys Revenue Budget for 2004/2005 was set in January 2004 at £38.36M. The Authoritys budget is funded by way of a levy on each of the Merseyside District Councils and is apportioned on the basis of Council Tax base . MWDA was established in 1986 following the abolition of the Merseyside County Council . The current contractors for Merseysides municipal waste is Mersey Waste Holdings Limited.
