Founded in 1958, it was the first community for men recognised by the Episcopal Church in the United States of America. It describes its mission as one of pilgrimage, prophecy, and exploration of "the emerging spirituality and ministry of the twenty-first century." The order includes a confraternity, The Fellowship of St. Paul. The house is located in San Diego, California.
