Au observat că azotul obţinut din compuşi chimici este mai uşor cu 0,5% decât azotul din atmosferă. Acest lucru le-a atras atenţia pentru multe luni, deşi diferenţa părea nesemnificativă. Au concluzionat că un alt gaz era amestecat cu azotul. Apariţie Argonul reprezintă 0,934% din punct de vedere al volumului şi 1,29% din punct de vedere a masei din atmosfera terestră. |
