rdfs:comment | Tumshuqese is one of the two languages which are together called "Sakan", the other being Khotanese. Tumshuqese is distinct from Khotanese, in that it is more archaic, but since it appears in far fewer manuscripts -- only 15 so far -- it is much less understood. It was found in a number of villages near Kucha, and is, like Khotanese, written in a variant of the Brāhmī alphabet. 5th to 10th centuries AD. ('en' language string) |
